Smekermann This song is fucking incredible. All the reviews I’ve found online were mostly “young band Pigs x7 release kinda interesting stoner song, I dunno, seems alright”, but this is so much more. It combines Neu!-like repetitiveness with absolutely filthy, groovy riffs, and adds a somewhat unhinged-sounding vocalist in that mix. It’s totally worth your while.

It’s also unique in their discography in that they’ve never really come back to this sound. Feed the Rats is more anchored in stoner rhythms. Favorite track: The Wizard and the Seven Swines.

bcb723 Years ago I went through this huge phase with 70's German Krautrock, being especially obsessed with the song "Hero" on Neu!'s 3rd album (Neu! '75). It's this perfect world of primitive hypnotic repetition pre-punk motorik aggression... or it's the complete shit. My friend said "If you like that, you will love Pigsx7." And when I first heard this song I was so amped up that bands like this exist in today's world. They took the Neu! template & turned it completely inside out. A fucking beast song.

VomitPiñata This sounds like some unholy jam session between peak Ozzy-era Sabbath and early Amon Düül II covering the Stooges Funhouse, but they've been force-fed horse tranquilizers and PCP. Then they chewed up the master tapes and regurgitated them into a meat grinder (mama bird like) with some scraps of post-punk & noise rock gristle (late 80s-early90s midwest USA & Japanese style noise, specifically) added for flavor. I fucking love it. The Cosmic Dead song on the flip is pretty jake as well. Get it

The Midnight Toker. Late to the party but glad I arrived. Im a big fan of Hey Colossus and Pigs7 are right in that wheel house, so I was going to be hooked for sure. This single track is vast and wondrous. This intro to the band lead me to the rest of their catalog which is fantastic.
